Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Ladong, about 100km from Kuching, will have a new building in five weeks’ time.

The building would be constructed using Industrialised Building System (IBS) technology.

It was a special gift announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in a walkabout on the second day of his working visit to Sarawak today.

He said the block costing about RM2 million would be equipped with six classrooms and two teachers’ quarters, while a science laboratory would also be built next to the existing premises.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the school, the prime minister said the project was part of the government’s endeavour to bring development to Sarawak, particularly with regard to schools in the rural areas.

Quick as a whippet Najib Razak was over in Sarawak at the weekend, his ally Adenan having fired the starting gun on the state election campaign.

He announced a pre-fab school to be built just days short of the election date.

Residents will be told it would be ungrateful (if downright dangerous and illegal) not to vote for a government that is so ‘generous’.  After all pre-fabs can come down even faster than they were put up, electricity supplies and water supplies can also be cut and headmen fired.

Poor Sarawak.

The question is whether this is more from the money allegedly provided to election gangster Najib by the former King of Saudi Arabia, supposedly to provide projects in Sarawak to prevent ‘Islamic extremism’ in the Christian state.

Or is it from the billions that have gone missing from 1MDB?
