Sarawak Report and Asia Sentinel have both said that the late Kevin Morais was the person who leaked classified Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) reports and information to Sarawak Report.
This, of course, makes sense because Kevin’s cousin in London, Brian Morais, who Kevin was in close contact with, is linked to Clare Rewcastle Brown. And that was how I, too, met Clare. In fact, they all meet quite often and Kevin used to go back to the UK every Christmas to be with his ‘partner’, an old Englishman.
But I do not think that Kevin was the mastermind or the initiator of the whole thing. As the Malays would say, he is too pondan to actually take the lead — and I mean this literally as well and not just figure of speech (after all, he is the ‘wife’ in his gay relationship with that old Englishman).
Just like in the Rosli Dahlan case, Kevin was merely the Gurkha, as the Malays would say. He did not plan or mastermind the conspiracy against Rosli or his client, the ex-CCID Director, Ramli Yussof. The masterminds were the ex-Attorney General, Gani Patail, the ex-IGP, Musa Hassan, and the (current) officers from the MACC.
Kevin’s job was just to be the hit man or assassin and to make sure that Ramli and Rosli both end up in jail on fabricated charges.
Not many would stoop so low as to produce this level of poisonous invective against an upstanding and heroic man of the law, who has been brutally murdered.
However, it is widely known and has never been denied that RPK went from begging from his former UK supporters and friends to a BMW sporting lifestyle, thanks to his new patron Rosmah, who is not known to pull her punches.
Kevin can’t answer back and he can’t sue, so he is a safe target for RPK to say what he likes. One can therefore expect further calumny against him, should one stumble on this blog (very few still bother, of course).
However, in the process of this smear, RPK has confirmed something that his bosses have been saying is untrue. He has acknowledged that it WAS Kevin Morais who released information about the MACC investigation, even though the new AG and Najib’s supporters have been going blue in the face denying he had a thing to do with it.
It was a sloppy mistake, but then RPK is a poor and sloppy writer. He never produces evidence for his stories of any kind and is happy to lie through his teeth without a shred of proof – for example with his silly story of tycoons, who have supposedly paid Sarawak Report RM4 billion to ‘conspire against Najib’.
He is equally wrong in his guesswork about how SR made contact with Kevin.
Let’s just once see some evidence for your fairytales RPK – or let’s continue rather to ignore your poisonous material which has received zero likes and zero comments for months.
