The police are investigating an article that claims several prominent business tycoons bankrolled an alleged plot to topple Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

The article, published in Malaysia Today last week, says corporate barons met with Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former finance minister Daim Zainuddin in London to discuss the matter.

Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said the article contained serious allegations against prominent individuals.

“We will look into it to determine how the author obtained such information.

“The allegations are not only damaging to the reputation of these VIPs but also contain serious accusations of sabotaging the government,” Khalid told Malaysiakini.

According to the article titled “The RM2 billion ‘donation’ Mahathir kept a secret from you”, the group, which met in London late last year, settled on a RM2 billion figure….

Malaysiakini is withholding the names of the four tycoons mentioned in the article, which also mentioned former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz and Sarawak Report editor Claire Rewcastle-Brown.

Sarawak Report can confirm that these allegations of Petra Kamaruddin are untrue – and we ask if he got his new BMW off the dole here in Manchester or whether the widespread rumours that he is now paid by Rosmah for his constant false propaganda are correct?

Sarawak Report did not attend any meeting in London with ‘four tycoons’, nor the head of the Central Bank. Neither did we meet with Mr Tong of the Edge in Scotland on our summer vacation, which was also earlier alleged by ‘RPK’.

However, we did experience numerous email hacking attempts whilst in Scotland and the fact that RPK knew that this was where we were on holiday confirms our suspicion that it is he who is in a plotting relationship with members of Special Branch, who are making it their nosey business here in London to spy on where we go.

After all, it was RPK who also reported ‘exclusively’ on a friendly coffee with one of many Malaysian acquaintances here in the UK in the summer, where we were harassed photographed by SB officers in Hyde Park.

So, clearly he is their mouthpiece and outlet.  Now that is plotting for you!
