Americans should bow their heads in shame forever, since their land was “stolen from the Red Indians (native Americans) through genocide”, says Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The former prime minister is still livid with US Vice-President Joe Biden over his remarks regarding the Sedition Act and opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s case.

Despite criticising Biden on the sidelines of an event last Saturday, Mahathir also penned a blog posting on the matter today.

He said the US believes that it is the greatest democracy in the world and therefore is in a position to tell others what to do.

Mahathir lives in a glass house.

This attack on America for something its fore bearers did 200 years ago, by the man who has overseen BN’s dispossession of the Dayak people is pretty rich.

America has put up with a great deal of criticism, plenty of it justified and most of it from its own citizens.

But, if BN receive criticism from their own citizens they plan to jail them, using the Sedition Act.  If the criticism is from a foreign power they tell them to mind their own business.

BN say it is because they are a ‘perfect democracy’ and should not be ever criticised.  How can we know when there has never been a change of elected  government?

Dr Mahathir should learn to listen to healthy criticism, from wherever it comes – it is the first test of genuine democracy, after all – and Malaysia’s democracy is supposed to be ‘perfect’.
